About Esmeralda Luna

Magdalene Priestess & Sacred Alchemist

It started with love.

Not a book. Not a course. Not a crisis.

It started with a small black cat named Maggie.

When Maggie was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2014, I refused to accept that there was nothing more I could do. I began studying everything I could find — crystals, Reiki, herbalism, Traditional Chinese Medicine, holistic healing of every kind — not to build a practice, but simply because I loved her and love makes you reach for every possible thing.

Maggie passed in early 2018. And though my heart broke, something else opened.

Because in reaching for her, I had found myself.

She didn’t just start my healing path. She is my healing path. Even now, she walks beside me — transformed, as animal guides sometimes are, into her most powerful form. My black jaguar. My protector. Still present in my spiritual court, still watching over this work we began together.

I don’t take a single step on this path without her.

The Path Kept Unfolding

What began with Maggie grew into something I could not have planned. Feng shui. Crystal healing. Reiki. Herbalism. Sacred plant medicine. The divine feminine. Each one arrived not as a subject to study but as a door to walk through — and each door led deeper into the same truth.

That healing is not about fixing.

It is about remembering.

It is about coming home.

And then one ordinary afternoon, a phone call cracked everything open. A question I hadn’t known I was waiting for. A dark night of the soul that became the beginning of everything.

My doctor told me I had two choices — quit the work that was consuming me or go on medication. I chose medication while I figured out what came next. I tried going back to church, reaching for something familiar.

It still didn’t fit. It never had.

Because what I was being called toward wasn’t a return to something old. It was a return to something true.

I come from a line of women who healed.

My grandmothers worked with plants, with tarot, with egg cleansings — the quiet, practical sacred arts of Mexican folk tradition. I didn’t receive that knowledge directly. The transmission was interrupted, as it so often is.

But I am in active relationship with that lineage now. Learning. Listening. Letting my grandmothers inform the work I do with plants, with sacred space, and with the women who come to me for healing. The ancestral thread runs through every tea blend I make, every healing session I hold, every circle I gather.

This work was never just mine to begin.

It was passed to me — even if the passing was silent.

She was always calling.

Long before I had language for it, I felt her.

Mary Magdalene.

Not the diminished version the world tried to hand me — pious or fallen, saint or sinner, reduced to a footnote in someone else’s story. That version never rang true. I always sensed there was more. A woman of great power, great love, great devotion. A woman who never stopped believing even when the world tried to make her small.

It wasn’t until I found my way to the sacred feminine path that I understood what I had always been feeling was recognition. Not discovery.

Remembering.

I am now an ordained Magdalene Priestess, walking a path of sacred feminine wisdom, anointing, and the Christed heart. I open sacred space with Aramaic prayer and the drone of my shruti box. I call in Mother Anna and the Violet Flame. I work with the Myrraphore tradition — the lineage of the holy anointing oils carried by the women who walked closest to the divine.

The Magdalene path is not separate from my healing work. It is the ground everything else grows from.

What I Carry

I am a Magdalene Priestess & Sacred Alchemist rooted in the lineage of the sacred feminine and the healing wisdom of my ancestors. My work — the botanical blends, the healing sessions, the sacred space work, the women’s circles — all flows from one source.

Devotion.

My training spans crystal healing, Reiki, herbalism, sacred plant medicine, feng shui, nature and forest therapy, and the divine feminine path. I officiate earth-based, gnostic, and LGBTQ ceremonies. I hold space in women’s circles — the Moonlit Sanctuary and the Magdalene Shabbat Circle. I make small-batch botanical creations through my apothecary, Luna Hearth Leaf, rooted in the Myrraphore tradition and my ancestral herbalism lineage.

And I guide women through the BALANCED Way — my signature framework for coming home to themselves. Not a program to complete. A path to walk. A living devotional practice that carries the Magdalene wisdom in language any woman can step into, whether or not she has a name yet for what she has been feeling called toward.

What I Believe

I believe your body is holy.

I believe your home holds energy — and when it is aligned, your whole life begins to shift.

I believe in rituals that nourish, not drain.

I believe your softness is sacred, your rhythms are holy, and your truth is enough.

I believe you are not broken. You are just buried beneath noise that was never yours.

And I believe the women who find their way to this work were always meant to.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

You just have to feel the pull.

Whether you are brand new to this work or have been walking a spiritual path for years, whether you found me through a tea blend or a healing session or a Substack letter at midnight that felt like it was written just for you —

Welcome home.

I am so honored you are here.
